“The Swiss Franc”
The recent move by the Swiss National Bank to no longer peg the Swiss franc to the euro caught almost everyone by surprise. Since the three-year-old mark of 1.20 Swiss francs to the euro ended, we have received many questions regarding this issue and thought it more than appropriate to discuss in this forum. In our opinion, the recent move to free the Swiss franc has no impact on anyone doing business in Switzerland other than normal currency risk. Obviously, however, initial costs of facility and employees may increase if moving from US dollars or euros to the Swiss franc.
